Many Want To Go to Formosa
A Saigon based Nationalist Chinese delegation spokesman said about 25 000 locally born Chinese have applied to go to Formosa. The total could reach 40 000 including wives and children. The government protested last August that Vietnamese born Chinese received no support from Nationalist China. As the deadline neared in January Formosa offered sanctuary to all wishing to settle there.
