Holcomb council rejects ditch property for greenbelt plan
Holcomb city council unanimously rejected a small drainage ditch between an alley and Kristi Lane owned by CAC Development Inc until the developers plant more grass or cover seeding and labor costs. Mayor Gary Newman and engineer Pete Earles said the city may accept maintenance once ground cover is established, while CAC argues the city previously accepted a greenbelt plan and spent about $5,000 converting the land. The council also hired Dustin Lee Weber as a police officer at $14 per hour after a 20 minute closed session.
