Garden City gains Ascend hotel as Parrot Cove water park opens
A ribbon cutting marked the 90 room Ascend property in Garden City. The hotel will pair with Parrot Cove Water Park, opening in November, offering room rates from 100 to 150 dollars and packages including water park access. The six story building sits near Schulman Crossing and Old Chicago, with 32 000 square feet of water surface and four slides plus a lazy river. Leaders praised local entrepreneurship and community impact as Frances O Brate was honored.
