Scott City shines in 4x400 and Meyer double at state
Scott City won the Class 3-2-1A 4x400 as Irvin Lozano and Adrian Ruelas led early exchanges before Meyer and teammates sealed the relay gold. Meyer also captured the 800 in 1:56.14, overcoming Noah Gfeller, and Scott City climbed to fifth in team scoring. Skinner of South Gray swept the sprints and Peters won shot put and discus. Irsik and Speer claimed titles in 1A track events. Meyer, a Fort Hays State signee, dedicated the win to his brother Joey who never won the event.
