Larned Patient Faces Charge After Farm Home Gun Incident
David Baker an 18 year old voluntary patient at Larned State Hospital walked away Sunday and held a farm family at gunpoint seven miles west of Larned. He was overpowered by officers and jailed awaiting arraignment on felonious assault and possible commitment to the hospital. The Schneck family returned home from dinner to find Baker armed with a rifle, but Schneck detained him until help arrived.
