Senior Center pinochle winners and bridge action at Garden City
Neva Maxfield topped four tables at the Senior Center pinochle event with Betty Schreibvogel in second and Leonard Yardley third. Garden City Duplicate Bridge Club reported a 25-board Howell movement on July 16 with Dorothy Bartlett and Irene Bryant first at 60 percent, Jon Kempton and Shirley Klotz second, close behind Faye Anderson and Pat Barber. Regular bridge sessions are slated for 7 tonight and 1 15 p.m. Tuesday at the Senior Center, with partners sought via Kempton. Beacon Boosters 4-H held July 9 with visitors Cameron and Nick Mann, planning to decorate a hay bale for the Finney County Fair. Emma Corbett honored in July birthdays. Jensen Strasser and others led a singing of Shark Song. Finney Flyers 4H met July 8 for club tour and potluck. belt buckle sponsorship approved for Showmanship champions and concession stand signups.
