City budget 2013 set with carryover not higher costs
Garden City officials report the 2013 budget maintains authority via unused cash carried over from 2012, with no stated rise in expenses. A study of consolidation possibilities between city and county programs is urged, alongside approved rezonings for a Towne Place Suites hotel and a bank parking lot. A Town Hall is planned for July 31 followed by a regular meeting August 7.
