Journey of Hope cyclists roll into Garden City from Lamar
Twenty two cyclists and a six member support team halted at the Garden City Big Pool after riding 106 miles from Lamar Colorado as part of the Journey of Hope tour by Pi Kappa Phi. The event raises funds and awareness for people with disabilities through Push America. The ride covers 32 states and over 12000 miles with a goal of $560000 in total donations. Riders must raise up front funds and stay in gymnasiums or churches to keep costs low, so more money goes to grants for disability projects and friendship visits.
