Bodily details in Banda marijuana case emerge in affidavit
Garden City police and DCF officials removed Banda’s son from her Conkling Street home after affidavits described daily marijuana use by Banda, her son, and others. The boy reported cannabis extraction, vaporizers, and that up to three pounds of marijuana were kept in the house. Police seized 500 grams of marijuana and related paraphernalia on March 24. The boy was first in his father’s custody, then protective custody, with a gag order in the CINC case. Police later interviewed him again confirming ongoing use and distribution by Banda, including selling extract pills. Banda was arrested after THC was found in items searched June 2 by the KBI. Next court date Aug 24.

Obama allies back executive action in anti deportation suit
A friend of the court brief supporting President Obama’s DAPA and DACA programs was filed by coalition allies including Los Angeles and other cities and counties. A Texas judge had blocked the programs and the 5th Circuit refused to lift the stay after arguments. Critics warn of cost to state taxpayers while supporters say federal immigration law should not be impeded. The case details the contested orders and the administration’s legal team led by Beth Brinkmann.
