Jordan and Yemen offer troops to Iraq
Jordan and Yemen offered to send troops to Iraq a move that could spur more Arab and Muslim nations to help the U S backed government. King Abdullah II of Jordan signaled willingness to deploy if asked and to train Iraqi forces while Yemen offered peacekeepers only within a U N led force. The United States supports such moves but Britain and Jordan debate the wisdom of neighboring states deploying troops.
