Gulf War veteran recalls 25th anniversary and Gulf conflicts
Col Mick Baier recalls the 190th Kansas Air National Guard refueling group during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He notes 20 percent casualty fears, two near misses to tankers, and guidance from Gen Schwarzkopf on not pursuing Baghdad. Baier led 110 refuelers and 18 B 52s, later promoted to brigadier general in Lecompton with his wife Jane.
