City traffic study eyes three lane road diet options
Professional Engineering Consultants presented a 2015 traffic study at the Finnup Center for a public meeting. Four four lane corridors Fulton Street Mary Street Campus Drive and Jennie Barker Road could become three lane roads with a center turn lane to reduce crashes and weaving. Peak hours are below 500 vehicles per hour and bicycle lanes, speed limits, and truck traffic breakdown questions remain.
