Animal shelter programs boost adoptions and spay efforts
Garden City Finney County Animal Shelter works to cover housing costs through adoptions while promoting spaying and neutering to curb stray populations. The shelter euthanizes on Fridays and Saturdays when space runs out, a process described as the hardest part of staff members' jobs. The Finney County Humane Society supports foster care, transports to no kill shelters, and offers $50 vouchers for spay neuter, along with a foster program aiding roughly 50 animals in two years.
