City mulls demolition as homes on Fourth Street fail to comply
At a meeting, the city considered demolishing two homes on Fourth Street after owners did not attend. Debra Bribiescu recalled family life at 205 and 207 S Fourth during the 1950s to 1970s while noting the danger of unsafe structures. The mayor said owners may still fix the properties to avoid clearance. Additional actions included zoning changes near Mansfield Road for heavy industrial use and a commercial redevelopment at Campus Drive. City Manager Matt Allen’s contract was renewed with salary and benefit adjustments.
