The Moundridge Board of Education advances a $20.995 million bond for a combined K-12 campus after a prior $23.8 million proposal failed 51 to 49. Residents will vote April 4 in a walk-in election. If approved, the high school would gain new classrooms and a gym, with extended commons and security. the elementary building would be sold.
The district seeks a 26 mill bond to expand and renovate the junior and senior high school to include elementary grades. If approved, a $100,000 home would pay about $253.46 more annually, a 14 percent reduction in tax impact, with the vote set for April 4.
