Climate change dulls Assam tea flavor and yields
In Assam India's main tea region growers report warmer temps lowering production from 564000 tons in 2007 to 460000 in 2010 and softening the brew's taste. They urge government studies as pests rise and rainfall shifts complicate yields. Prices have risen about ten percent as supply tightens.
