Suspect questioned in Kansas highway shooting spree
A suspect has been questioned but not arrested after a string of gunfire incidents on Kansas 4 and nearby routes in Rice Ellsworth and Barton counties. Two drivers were injured, with one hit in the windshield and another in the hand. An off duty Ellsworth County officer traced a light extended cab truck, leading to a traffic stop and evidence turned to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. The suspect was released on the Rice County Attorney’s recommendation. The shootings are linked to a prior November 7 I 70 incident with no injuries.
