Garden City College Endowment elects officers and awards
The Garden City Community College Endowment Association elected officers for the board of directors including President Diana Jones and Vice President Missy Allen. New members Jeff Braun and Mary Guy joined, with several members re-elected. The group also awarded Outstanding Service and Whippo awards and reported $6,678,748 in equities for 2006-2007, funding $376,000 to 763 GCCC students.

Kiwanis honors Garden City seniors Ross and Payne
Garden City High School seniors Erin Ross and Jarett Payne have been named outstanding students for December by the Garden City Noon Kiwanis. Ross carries a 3.957 GPA and participates in multiple activities while Payne maintains a 4.0 GPA and serves as student council treasurer and class president. Both plan to attend the University of Kansas and pursue further studies.

GCCC Offers Non Credit Spanish Class for Adults
Garden City Community College will offer an eight session conversational Spanish class for adults with no prior study. Sessions run 6 30 to 8 30 p m on most Mondays and Wednesdays from February 4 to March 5 at the Students and Community Services Center.
