Now or Never PAC vows no attack in 2016 Huelskamp race
Axi om Strategies founder Jeff Roe says Now or Never PAC will not spend funds in Tim Huelskamp’s 2016 bid. The PAC previously spent 233,945 dollars opposing Huelskamp in 2014, with contributions from Cecil O Brate and related entities from Garden City. Huelskamp seeks renomination in Kansas 1st District August primary against Roger Marshall and Alan LaPolice, while Now or Never’s stance shifts attention to other campaigns.

DCF seeks 3000 for records request in open case
The Department for Children and Families asked The Topeka Capital-Journal to pay 2855 for 2400 emails and staff time under a two day period. Legal review costs cover 120 hours to shield confidential information under KORA. Officials cite potential higher final charges and say the fee targets transparency advocates’ concerns.
