George L Mohler, 89, resident of Scott County since 1947, farmer and member of Prairie View Church of the Brethren, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion, died December 5 2007 at Scott County Hospital. Survived by Verlene, a son Rodney, four grandsons eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Graveside services set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Prairie View Church Cemetery in Friend. visitation today and Tuesday at Price and Sons Funeral Home. Humberto Gonzalez, 23, former Garden City High School assistant wrestling coach, received five years probation after pleading Sept. 14 to two counts of attempted aggravated indecent liberties with a child. He must complete sex offender treatment, register, undergo drug tests, and observe a 10 pm curfew among other terms. The case stems from December 2006 after a junior varsity wrestling meet when he allegedly touched a student.
Law enforcement entries show multiple arrests in Finney County on various warrants and charges including out-of-county warrants, arrest and detain orders, forgery, deception, and driving suspensions.
