Garden City USD 457 audit finds no major issues
Garden City USD 457's independent financial auditor found no material weaknesses or questioned costs in fiscal year 2015. Three immaterial violations were noted: $1,304 in old outstanding checks recoverable, small deficits in Perkins and Migrant programs that have since been reimbursed, and a $10 overage in the Parent Education program. The board received the audit at Monday night’s meeting.

County hears proposed inter local agreement with Garden City
The Finney County Commission sent a revised inter local agreement for planning and inspection services back to Garden City with suggested changes. Garden City planners presented the modified deal at the county commission meeting. The community planning and development department handles planning and inspection services for Garden City Finney County and Holcomb through inter local agreements. In Nov 2014 the county voted not to renew the agreement which expired in Dec. Lee County, Page A5.
