Virginia churches weigh break from Episcopal Church
The Falls Church and Truro Church in Fairfax vote next week on breaking centuries of ties to the national Episcopal Church amid disputes over biblical authority and sexuality. Leaders cite splits with Robinson’s consecration and align with Nigeria’s Archbishop Akinola. Legal battles over property and denominational ownership loom, with both parishes preparing for a contested civil fight and possible settlement talks.
