Garden memorial sculpture garden for basketball founder James Naismith
Elden Tefft, 82, and Merlyn Brown plan a large sculpture garden near Lawrence along I 70 to honor James Naismith with life size figures of basketball greats including Wilt Chamberlain and Michael Jordan. The park would feature fountains, backboards and grassy banks in a court shaped layout, with plans needing donations land and fellow sculptors and a decade to complete.
