Patee Breaks Leg in Icy Garden City Fall
William Patee 36 of 2107 North Third became the year's first Garden City injury from icy streets after slipping Saturday evening. Doctors say both bones of his left leg were broken in several places. Robbery at Abilene Station Sparks Arrests at Concordia
A High Quality Service Station in Abilene was robbed of about 400 dollars last night. Within two hours three men were arrested at Concordia for questioning. Attendant Glenn Fleming, 33, said two armed men forced him to open the safe before 10 p.m., tied him, and fled. he freed himself and alerted police. Patrolman Carl Clintsman stopped a car in Concordia around 11:30 p.m. with Wisconsin license plates. One man wore a fur-lined coat and was among the three in the car.
