Garden City High principal Mireles resigns to seek new challenge
Garden City High School Principal James Mireles will resign at the end of the school year, effective June 30, returning to Texas roots. He cited reaching a pinnacle in his role and wanting to pursue coaching or district superintendent work, aided by growing grandchildren in Oklahoma City. Mireles and his wife Carmen plan to move closer to I-35, about two to two and a half hours from their current location.
