Erskin pleads guilty over misbranded Botox in Garden City
Erskin 53 pleaded guilty in US District Court to receiving and dispensing misbranded drugs used to treat wrinkles. He owned Renovo Medical in Garden City and bought cheaper overseas Botox from Canadian suppliers, failing to disclose origin and FDA approval status to patients. facing up to a year in prison and $100,000 fine. Kansas Board emergency suspension followed in June after a lawsuit alleging misrepresentation and lack of physician supervision. An undercover probe and 2016 FDA seizure of 175 patients' records at Renovo were part of the case.
