George Gessner, 29, a former soldier convicted of passing restricted nuclear weapon information to Russian agents, had sought transfer from Leavenworth to Johnson County jail in Olathe to assist his lawyers in appealing to the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. He received a life sentence last year on five counts. He was moved from Wyandotte County jail to Leavenworth on July 9, 1964.

John M. Kindall 79 retired farmer died Tuesday at Hamilton County Hospital Syracuse. Born December 29 1886 in Stone County Missouri he lived in Coolidge 77 years. Survived by widow two daughters a son several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. MST in Coolidge High School auditorium with Rev. Wendell Whitney officiating. Neal William Whinery, 40, a railway switchman, pleaded guilty to second degree murder in the March 23 death of Mildred A. Hudspeth, 41, a Procter & Gamble employee. Judge sentenced him to at least 10 years. probation sought by defense may keep him free on $10,000 bond. Investigators said Hudspeth was killed by a rifle fired at her apartment. Whinery said a rifle from 1959 was kept there.
