Windsor fundraiser concludes with prize drawing and plan for hotel cupola
The Windsor campaign wrapped up with a May online raffle drawing. Peter Olmsted won $1,000. Darrel and Brenda Sampson took $599 second prize. Gordon Harness won $345 third prize. Chip Bradshaw $232 fourth. Rosemary Corbett $116 fifth. Renovation, led by Rod Fercking Construction after an architect is hired, aims to restore the cupola and facade of the 1887 Windsor Hotel, with Don Harness central to the project until health issues slowed him. Don’s supporters plan a fall turnaround, seeking donations online or by mail to aid the restoration and preserve Garden City history.
