Leoti City and Selkirk Preserve County’s Old Towns and Artifacts
The Wichita County Historical Society funds Leoti City in 2005 with a grant to recreate historic buildings from 1887 including a Broadway Hotel replica and a bank, quilt wall, and a disability accessible exhibit. The Selkirk area preserves the 102-foot hand dug well and Santa Fe Railroad history, with depots moved to Pierceville and a barbed wire collection. The Little Chapel hosts weddings, and the 9-hole Wichita County Municipal Golf Course operates with a 2003 clubhouse and artificial turf range.
