Defamation case against Kansas board member survives move to dismiss
A federal judge refused to dismiss Clay Chastain’s defamation suit against Annie Hodgdon, a member of Kansas’ Board of Healing Arts, stemming from Hodgdon’s Facebook post accusing him of attempting sexual assault in 1994. The ruling preserves Chastain’s claim that Hodgdon acted with malice, rejecting that he was libel proof.
