Thefts between Aug 14 and Thursday in the 700 block of West Fair Street involve an unsecured residence entry stealing a laptop and GPS totaling 1200 dollars. At Garden City High School 1412 N Main St a wallet with a driver's license and debit card was taken from an unattended backpack totaling 15 dollars. Between Sept 1 2008 and Saturday in the 2900 block of Fleming Street five lost checks were stolen totaling 5 dollars.

Graffiti and property damage reported at multiple City sites
Criminal damage incidents occurred in the 4100 block of East U S Highway 50 where black spray paint damaged a residence and shed with an $80 loss. A Garden City High School bathroom stall was carved with words at 1412 North Main Street causing $5 damage. Vehicles were scratched in the 400 block of West Mary Street between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. A shattered window at Ruiz Liquor at 1208 East Fulton Street caused $400 loss.
