Compass Behavioral Health to host public open house
Compass Health Connections in Garden City will hold an open house from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 531 Campusview St. The KanCare Health Home, started in August 2014, coordinates physical and behavioral care for chronic conditions. A renovation added exam rooms and space for patient care. Sunflower Health Foundation funded a central courtyard upgrade into an outdoor exercise area, children's play zone, gardening space and relaxation spot. The program emphasizes whole-person care, helping individuals manage health conditions and pursue overall wellness.

Tumbleweed Festival lights up Garden City this weekend
The 24th annual Tumbleweed Festival unfolds on the west green at Lee Richardson Zoo in Garden City with four stages over three days. Twenty five acts across rock bluegrass Americana folk and more perform starting Friday evening with local acts and Saturday headliners, plus a children’s stage. Admission details wristbands run 15 to 20 dollars and festival lines and zoo access are subject to change.
