Judge rules funeral protest ban unconstitutional in Missouri
Federal judge Fernando Gaitan struck down Missouri laws limiting funeral protests as unconstitutional. The suit, led by the ACLU on behalf of Shirley Phelps-Roper of Westboro Baptist Church, contended the prohibitions infringed free speech rights and were not narrowly tailored to prevent disruption.
