A Garden City man Jacinto O Martinez 27 6080 Weldon Road was stopped for a traffic violation in the 300 block of West Mary Street. Police said officers found a knife scales and packaging material and that Martinez allegedly attempted to deposit 2.8 grams of methamphetamine in the patrol car on the way to the Law Enforcement Center. He faces charges including possession with intent to distribute felony possession of drug paraphernalia possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal use of a weapon. Street value of the methamphetamine is 280 dollars.
Aman, a 28 year old Mexican citizen, was federally indicted in Wichita for unlawfully re entering the United States after deportation for an aggravated felony. He was located July 28 in Garden City and faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted.

A 28 count federal indictment in Wichita charges Bob Eisel Powder Coatings its owner Bob Eisel general manager Kenrick Steinert and foreman Troy Hook with knowingly hiring undocumented workers and aiding fraud. The case cites eight counts each of false statements and Social Security number abuse, plus three counts of aggravated identity theft and harboring illegals. The firm allegedly paid for counterfeit IDs and assisted in purchasing dozens of false documents since 1997.
