Fatal head on collision on US 83 near Scott City
An 89 year old man from Garden City died when his 1997 Ford crossed the centerline and struck a southbound 2000 Kenworth semitrailer two miles north of the Finney Scott counties line on US Highway 83. The truck driver from Imperial Nebraska was hospitalized in critical condition. Roadways were closed for seven hours and detours set through county roads.
