Senate votes down bid to end Planned Parenthood funding
The U S Senate rejected an effort to cut federal funding for Planned Parenthood by a 53 to 46 cloture vote on S 1881. Kansas senators Roberts and Moran supported defunding while McConnell opposed the bill, with two Democrats also voting Yes. Critics say funding supports abortion providers, while supporters call for protecting women’s health and unborn lives.
