Heat wave grips Garden City with extended 100-degree days
Meteorologist Ray Burgert notes Garden City has seen 22 days at or above 100 degrees this year, with July hosting 11 such days and June eight. Despite near century heat, rainfall of 2.06 inches this July outpaced last year, yet remains below normal by 0.63 inches.
