Marriage at McConnell Home Unites Snyder Pair
At the bride's parents home Robert McConnell and wife Fot a marriage witnessed by relatives and a few friends. Rev S 9 Goodrich officiated. An elegant dinner followed. The couple left for Logansport where they have a furnished home. The groom, a telegraph operator, is described as a man of good habits and principles. the bride is a beloved young woman with many Galveston friends. Wises for a happy, prosperous life.
Regular town board meeting notes and actions
All board members attended the meeting. The clerk was told to bill Wm. Lake for the dog fund tax. Richards as agent for lots west of the railroad on Howard street was ordered to ditch them. Citizens were to cut weeds and the Indiana Union Traction Co. told to remove poles on California avenue. A permit was granted to W. H. Shirley to move and repair his house at Jackson and Main. F. H. Thomas elected to a three year term on the board. Clerk's claim of $20 was allowed. Property owners along the new road line were urged to install walks and curbs. The treasurer reported $493.37 in the general fund and $513.03 in the water fund.

G W and Oliver Harness, James Stanley, Harry Smith, and Theodore Martin left Monday for a few days fishing near Georgetown. Teddy Green stepped on a piece of glass Sunday afternoon, cutting a large gash in his foot and severing an artery. Medical aid was secured and the wound is healing nicely.
