R T Morrissey a former Galena furniture merchant died in St Paul Tuesday at age 72. He lived in St Paul since leaving Galena years ago and was associated with Coleman and Drum in Galena. He leaves a wife, three sons Emmett George and William, a daughter Mrs Carl Speece, and two Dubuque children who will attend the funeral. His daughter Mrs Clark was at his bedside. T A Clark and Frank Morrissey head to St Paul for the funeral.

Mrs B W Rhoton 70 native of Philadelphia and Second cousin of the late President McKinley died after a three week illness traced to paralysis following a fall. She had long identified with Galena life and ran a ladies haberdashery. Survived by three sons Frank Walter George and daughter Bella and two sisters Mary Mckinley and Mrs John Kearney and a brother William McKinley. Funeral Sunday at 2 pm from 509 Franklin St with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
