Eight year old Earl Green is gravely ill at his parents home on Wann Street after eating tainted salmon opened days earlier. Dr. Godfrey reports the boy remains in a precarious condition with excruciating pain and intermittent irrational moments.

Mrs Louis Schaber of Millbrig died at 1 30 AM Thursday from complications of diseases. Born in Germany July 23 1841 she came to the U S at age three. The North Western Illinois Holiness Association will hold its annual camp meeting at River Side Park camp ground in Freeport from June 8 to 18, 1905.
President Roosevelt visited Chicago and spoke at the Iroquois Club banquet. He backed Mayor Dunne in maintaining order, urged restraint on federal intervention, and warned both capital and labor to act with public responsibility. The event highlighted labor disputes and the need for regulated corporate power.

Valentine Dietz born November 4 1822 in Anden sheim Hesse Darmstadt Germany. He landed in New York August 18 1849 and worked in Chicago Milwaukee and Galena where he followed his trade and later took contracts for the ICG R Ro Government Building Marine Hospital. In 1862 he entered the grocery business with Math Hilgers whose interest he bought in 1874 and he ran it alone from 1890 until ill health forced retirement. He married Christina Schnier December 25 and she died June 25 1901. They had eleven children, two died in infancy. survivors include Henry, Frank, Ben, Mrs Kirshbaum, Mrs Melies, Mrs Becker and Anna, Bertha, Tenie and Minnie.
The Illinois State Medical society will hold its annual convention in Rock Island May 16 17 and 18 with elaborate preparations. It is expected that 600 to 800 visitors will attend. An open evening is planned May 16 at the Illinois theater with invocation by Rev. R B Williams, a vocal solo by Mrs Brandt of Chicago, and an address of welcome by the mayor.
Geo W McCaskrin delivers welcome on behalf of Rock Island Medical Society with Dr G L Buster. W Ks Quine represents the state society and Wm B E Quine presides at the annual address. May 17 includes a river excursion. business sessions open to members only in the library hall and First Methodist church. Medical appliance exhibition to be shown in the church Sunday school.
In St Louis on May 11 the sixteenth annual convention of the supreme councillor of the Catholic Knights of America began with Archbishop Glennon delivering a welcome sermon. Mass was celebrated by Rev J J Tannrath with deacons and subdeacons from St Louis Pueblo and Oklahoma City assisting. The council covers 533 branches across 41 states and territories. Dr Felix Gaudin presided. Congratulatory remarks were offered to Archbishop Glennon on the pallium and a resolution urged him to seek Pope Pius X blessing for the convention.
Miss Kate Segelte and Matt Bruner of Platteville were married Wednesday afternoon at the M B E Parsonage with Rev J A Matlack officiating.
