I C Fireman Klein of Waterloo scalded early Tuesday on a west bound Illinois Central freight engine 51 at East Dubuque. While dampening coal dust with a hot hose water splashed his face and shoulders causing severe burns. He was taken to a physician then home to Waterloo in critical condition but expected to recover.
