New Catholic Colony Formed Near Cairo Illinois
A company headed by Archbishop Glennon of St. Louis has purchased 100000 acres near Sikeston Missouri to establish a Catholic colony from New York and New Orleans. Plans include another 100000 acres and the land will be divided into village settlements with a capital of 1,000,000 dollars.

Roosevelt Bids Farewell After Texas Hunt in Frontier Country
President Roosevelt today bade farewell to the Kiowa Comanche country where he chased coyotes and jackrabbits for four days then began a journey toward the Rocky mountains. His sun bronzed face and adventurous mood pleased onlookers in Frederick as he and his party, including Co manche and neighboring residents, departed after bagging eighteen wolves and smaller game. Souvenir tails and ears were taken from the hunt, reflecting a frontier era tone.
