Five people were injured or killed when a car carrying Cleveland visitors overturned into a ditch one mile east of Malinta. Mrs Elizabeth How, Albert Winslow, and Mrs Rock Kerman died, while Mrs Dale Stevens and Mrs A H Winslow were seriously hurt. Dr G C Aurand assisted at the scene before victims were moved to Memorial hospital in Napoleon. The group was en route to visit W F Hoy and relatives in Napoleon.

Elias son of Joan and Catherine Fredrick was born August 1 1850 in Yorkevilstown Fulton County Ohio and died at his Delta home on Sunday August 25 1921 aged 70 years 11 months He married Sarah Shoe maker near Bluffton Indiana February 27 1879 The couple lived on a farm near Delta until 1918 He joined Hebron Christian Union Church in 1885 and remained a life member He is survived by wife two sons Daniel of Delta and Charles of Toledo and one son John who died in infancy A funeral was held at Zion Church near Delta on August 25 1921 with Rev Marshall Gray and Rev A Gillet officiating The Fulton County Fair at the D T and T L railway grounds will open next week with new buildings and paint updates and trains stopping daily at the fairgrounds The business district of Wauseon will close at 11 00 a m on Thursday September 8 to allow participation in the fair
