Civic Club Plans November Benefit Sale for Needy Children

A Civic Club relief drive in Wauseon holds a Tag Day on November 6 to raise funds for clothing and medical needs of children in poverty. Mrs. Hay and Mrs. Ker pohen head the committee. volunteers include Andrey Bret, Clarence Rich, Olive Schlatter, Margaret Hinward and others. Proceeds fund the club’s relief work at the library and local homes.

Memorial service for Loxare Post G A R comrades observed

A memorial service was held in G Ht Hall last Sunday at 2 p m by Comrades of Loxare Post No 05 G A R. The first observance of this kind honored comrades and associate members who passed away since 1915. The program included solemn eulogies and a male quartet performance by Geo Gorsudh Clyde Wager Indeel Gray and Gu. The event emphasized civic duty and good citizenship.

Agricultural Day Observed With Wauseon Banquet

Comrade Buxton Honored With Caning Ceremony

Twenty one Relief Corps No 20 members and twenty two ladies surprised Mr Buxton at his home on his seventy third birthday with a caning ceremony. He received the tokens with thanks. A fine supper and lively speeches followed as veterans recalled service and wished him more years of happiness.

Wauseon Poultry Show Highlights Pure Bred Benefits

Council Proceedings Report on Sidewalks and Sewer Map

The council met in regular session chaired by C H Jordan. Minutes were read and approved. Notices to build sidewalks were reviewed and legal steps discussed. Repairs for winter ready sidewalks were assigned to owners. City solicitor proposed bench marks on the new sewer map for permanent records. Wabash Railroad lighting cost at Fulton Street crossing discussed and referred to the clerk for a reply.

Serious Lark Ends In Assault At Tedrow Police Court

Ray Ames reported being assaulted after a wheel was found and presumed stolen. Six youths were arrested. two underage sent to juvenile court while four pleaded not guilty and await Thursday’s hearing. Court action to continue this week as the case proceeds.
