Royal Belgian King and Queen visit small town

Kenyon Begins Piano Instructor Post at Washburn College

Frank S. Kenyon, educated in Wauseon and trained under George A. Heath, began teaching piano at Washburn College in Topeka, Kansas on the 8th after four years directing music at Southeast Missouri State Normal College. The Topeka Daily Capital praised his program for its musical and technical demand, his clear musical message, and his pianissimo tone, noting the Grainger pieces and an encore of a Dell piece.

First meeting of Wauseon DAR marks stars and service

The 919-20 Wauseon Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution met at Mrs. W. H. Eager’s home with Mrs. M. L. Altstetter assisting. The program featured furling the chapter’s service flag with sixteen stars and one red star for a nurse in training. Names of fallen or serving members were honored by relatives present. The discussion, led by Mrs. Touvelle and Mrs. Brigham, focused on Americanization and literacy in Fulton County, with plans for patriotic education for foreign born and native residents.

Roosevelt Memorial Organization Seeks 5 Million Fund
