Jury in murder case and Lehman trial at county court

A county grand jury convened Tuesday to hear nine indictments with four dozen witnesses. Frederick Lehman faces first degree murder charges for the death of wife Grace Lehman, with arraignment and trial steps outlined as the case proceeds through court.

Fulton Countys Third Detachment Heads to Camp Sherman

Forty eight Fulton county volunteers including bands veterans Boy Scouts and schoolchildren left for Camp Sherman Chillicothe. Citizens lined the streets from court house to the railroad station as music played and flags flew. Roy H Crisman led the group with 112 Fulton county reps already at Camp Sherman and 30 more needed to reach 142. Services are planned at the Tedrow Christian church and the Winameg church with Rev Wharton preaching.

Fourth Gall of Registered Men for Militia Examinations

To ensure enough eligible men for military service the county calls 954 registrants to report for examination. Reports are set for Monday October 8 and the days following, with 100 men examined each day on October 8 10 and 12. Red Cross Day Urges Fulton County Support for War Relief

The Fulton County community is urged to observe October 18 as Red Cross Day to aid wounded soldiers and war relief in Europe. Local Red Cross leaders appeal to all citizens, noting nurse Nina L.
