Four Hundred Fulton County Liberty Loan Drive Reported

Four hundred voluntary subscribers meet the quota for the Fourth Liberty Loan highlighting local towns Wauseon Archbold and Delta. Archbold led with a strong pledge, while Wauseon’s share reached 147.00. A Monday lecture by Arthur Walwin Evans titled What America Means To Me opens a strong senior class series. A birthday surprise for Charles Frederick ends with a new watch chain and good wishes from relatives.

Wauseon Rally Praises Soldiers in Courthouse Meeting

In a packed courthouse crowd in Wauseon a mass meeting honored service members. John Worley Hill of New York delivered a stirring oration on American ideals and leaders past and present.

League Patriots Open Meeting Here on Liberty Bonds

Fulton County patriots opened their meeting to the public during the Fourth Liberty Loan campaign. Lt Champ of the Canadian Army spoke of trench life and supply needs on the Western front, urging citizens to ensure government purchases of ammunition food and equipment. Charles H Graves followed, urging strong participation in buying the fourth issue of Liberty Bonds as a duty of real American citizens.

Fulton County News League Loyalty Actions and Weddings

Items include a loyalty motion against disloyalty at the League meeting with unanimous approval for a member, plus a similar action for Mr W H Dennis who was elected to membership. Fulton’s Red Cross quota of 26000 was approved by a near full attendance. Iv es Latton wed Glenn Latton in Morenci with plans to reside on a 120 acre farm. Wauseon Scout Supper and War Efforts Report

Wauseon Boy Scouts and about a dozen fathers shared a Monday evening supper at the Methodist church scout room. Scout Master Ives presented a report on troop status, uniforms, finances, and wartime activities including Liberty Loan support and War Savings Stamps efforts.
