Fulton County Republican Rally Highlights Women Voters

Victim of influenza memorialized in Fulton County roll

William Nicholas Bixter, son of E. H. and Linge Hatter, born near Swanton Ohio February 25 1895, died at Camp Custer Michigan October 1 1918 aged 23 years 7 months 24 days. He served in the army, was transferred to Camp Custer and Fort Benjamin Harrison, and fell ill with influenza while serving. His memory is honored in Fulton County with regards from family and community, including a note on his patriotic service and the epidemic. The obituary mentions church and burial at Swanton cemetery and includes a thanks card from his family.
