Decoration Day observance in Fulton County moves to a larger gathering as veterans led by Lowere Post invite all Pratermal Orders and the public to join a program at the High School. The Congregational Church of Wauseon extends a call to Rev A E Fish of Rita Ohio. Dr PT Lee continues as interim pastor and delivers final sermons. Mrs Shambarger’s Obituary and Funeral Arrangements

Mrs. Jacob Shambarger born January 9, 1888 died May 15, 1920 at Lena age 32. Funeral at home conducted by Rev. S. R. Dunham with interment in Wauseon cemetery. Survived by eight children, siblings and friends. A long tribute to faith and family ends with a moving postscript of gratitude and a quirky note on family songs and odd published verses.

A 1920s style banquet at Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Foster marks the 500 club’s annual event. Losers host a mock “Hard Times Party” for Winners with invitations guiding them in a satirical scavenger route from the Court House to Elm Street, ending at dusk.
