He studied at Marietta College and Lane Seminary, served churches in Laclede Cameron Mo Owosso Santusky Meadesville and Vergennes. He married Lydia Bowman and Minerva Clement and had children Elsie Ruth George and a daughter who died in 1894.

Wauseon Band Organizes Public Concerts In Berry Grange
In Berry Grange hall on May 22 the Wauseon Fulton County band formed by 21 musicians announced open air concerts at Lake Shore Park and winter practices to build a permanent unit. The plan includes community subscriptions totaling 825 dollars and local support from the business community, with aims to enhance public events and home music education.
