Golden Wedding in York Township Ohio Forty Nine Years of Marriage

On Tuesday May 18 1915 the golden wedding was celebrated at the residence of George Free and Hannah Free in York township Fulton County Ohio. Their family, church ties, and long-time devotion to Taylor Methodist Episcopal church are highlighted along with a large dinner and gifts. Guests included C W Free T C Murray Sr Ira Free and others. The event honored a fifty year union with children and grandchildren in attendance and plans noted for a diamond wedding. Also announced Fulton County Horticultural Society meeting at Delta June 3 with discussions on European war impact and household insect control.

Rev Richard A Davies Fifty Years a Minister of Christ

Obituary memorializing Rev Richard A Davies former pastor of the First Congregational Church of Wauseon. Born June 1840 in Rhymney Wales, he toiled sixty years in gospel work. He studied at Marietta College and Lane Seminary, served churches in Laclede Cameron Mo Owosso Santusky Meadesville and Vergennes. He married Lydia Bowman and Minerva Clement and had children Elsie Ruth George and a daughter who died in 1894.

Wauseon Band Organizes Public Concerts In Berry Grange

In Berry Grange hall on May 22 the Wauseon Fulton County band formed by 21 musicians announced open air concerts at Lake Shore Park and winter practices to build a permanent unit. The plan includes community subscriptions totaling 825 dollars and local support from the business community, with aims to enhance public events and home music education.
